Two 12cm x 12cm (4 3/4" x 4 3/4") squares of pretty much any stable woven fabric. Maybe not anything very light weight, like cotton lawn or sateen, but most mid weight fabrics should work just fine! Basically any bag/pouch making scraps!!

NOTIONS required include:
CORD:
You will need about 20cm (8") length of 3mm cord to make a single pattern weight, but you will be trimming this back. It is much easier to work with a longer length and then trim some excess off than fiddling with the exact length. If making a few at a time, which I suspect you might, use one uncut longer length and trim it off as you go. Waxed cotton cord is ideal, but leather cord, narrow twill tape, ribbon will all work. Experiment with what you have on hand!
FILLING:
You want something heavy and dry. Again experiment with what you have on hand but here are some suggestions: Dried cherry stones, 1cent/penny coins, dry rice, plastic beads, buttons, small metal washers, clay beads... Call into a hardware store to see what you can find cheaply! Nothing sharp and keep it small.
